In our workshop, we don’t just limit ourselves to producing ropes.
We manufacture ropes tailored to each of your needs that will enhance your time on board and in port.
What Our Nautical Boat Workshop Is Like,
based in Palma de Mallorca
Although a picture is worth a thousand words, at T-E-C we have a specialist boat workshop where we have carefully selected tools to carry out precise tasks without damaging the fibers of the ropes. We have custom nautical knives, splicing needles, threads, snap hooks, and drawers filled with high-quality materials.
Our favourite tool is the winches with a patented method that allows us to create unique and efficient splices. In addition, in the repair workshop, we have a test bench that allows us to verify the strength of the splices and provide a warranty certificate to our customers for their boats.
At T-E-C, safety is our priority and we leave nothing to chance. To achieve the best finishes on the ropes, we have a large leather bench for lining and giving a professional touch to any mooring or stay.
And finally, in 2021 we incorporated a new tool: a laminating machine for marine cable terminals, to provide a complete and high-quality service to our customers.

Common doubts resolved from the nautical workshops in Mallorca
What kind of materials do you use in your work?
In our marine workshop, we mainly use high-strength synthetic materials such as polyester, polyamide and glass fibres to manufacture marine cables. We can also use metallic materials such as stainless steel, depending on customer specifications and cable application. All the materials we use are resistant to abrasion, corrosion and adverse sea conditions, guaranteeing high durability and safety in nautical works.
Do you offer a guarantee on your work?
Yes, at T-E-C we are so sure of the quality of our work that we offer one year more than the stipulated by the legislation in comparison with the other Nautical Workshops in Spain.
What is your process for splicing and laminating terminals?
In our boat nautical workshop, the process of splicing and laminating terminals is as follows:
Material Selection: We select the appropriate materials for splicing and laminating terminals according to the customer specifications and cable application.
Splicing: We use specialized tools to cut and splice the cable to the desired length and diameter.
Laminating: The terminal is heated and laminated under high pressure to seal and reinforce the cable fibers and ensure a solid bond.
Inspection and Testing: We perform visual inspections and tension tests to ensure that the terminal meets the required safety and quality standards.
Packaging and Shipping: The laminated terminal is packaged and shipped to the customer for use.
This process is designed to ensure the quality and safety in splicing and laminating marine cable terminals in our workshop.
How do they ensure quality in the splices and terminals?
To ensure both the quality in the splices and the terminals that we manufacture in our boat workshop, we implement various quality controls during the manufacturing process. These include visual inspections and tension tests on the workbench. Additionally, we use high-quality machinery and tools to ensure that all work meets the required safety and quality standards.
What materials are used to manufacture nautical ropes?
The nautical ropes are made from synthetic materials such as polyester, polypropylene, polyamide, among others. These materials offer great resistance to moisture and abrasion, making them ideal for use in marine environments. Glass or carbon threads are also used to provide increased strength and durability to the ropes.
What are the delivery times at our boat workshop?
In our boat workshop in Mallorca, we are committed to delivering the jobs within a maximum of 7 days after the manufacturing is finished. We work efficiently to ensure a quick delivery without compromising the quality of our work.
